It is always a nice touch to offer a choice of several affordable photography packages. For instance, one package might feature a clown posing with a child. All you have to do is rent a clown suit and hire a funny child-loving friend to wear the clown outfit and join you on photo shoots.
If you own a small portable printer, you can offer to photograph each child as they enter the door, then promptly print the photo, so the hostess can place a copy in the gift bag of the child.
There are so many different ways you can promote digital photography while attending the birthday party of a child.
You could offer to build a PowerPoint presentation of the pictures and send it to the host to distribute as they wish.
You can take candid shots and then post them on a website where partygoers and parents can print them out or download them as the desire.
Always bring plenty of brochures and business cards and ask the hostess to send a brochure home with each child. Discount coupons for your digital photography services can be provided to anyone who books a photo shot. Remember to give one to the hostess as well, since they may also have another child who needs party photographs. Remember, there is always next year.
Remember when working with themed locations that you should talk with the location manager to see if you could create a bulletin board or display that shows photographs of happy birthday parties. This is a good marketing tool for both you and the locations of birthday parties, as it will promote both their themed birthday parties and your digital photography services.
